In the end, the evil aliens did not come from beyond the moon or by trespassing the Southern border. They didn't fly in from foreign lands or traverse the oceans by ship and sail. They came from the inside. They came from our cities and suburbs. They came from the countryside and the coast. From sea to shining sea they gleefully arrived with their gallows and guns. They were us all along.
