Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Matter of Perspective

Season three, ep. 14. Aired Feb. 12, 1990. I had no choice but to choose this episode because I just watched a Magnum, P.I. with a Rashomon theme this week. Here Riker is accused of murder and everyone has a different story about what happened.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - Deja Q

Season three, episode 13. Aired Feb. 5, 1990. One of the highest IMDb ratings of season three. Top three of that season. John de Lancie, Corbin Bernsen. Q returns stripped of his powers. And his clothes.

IMDb Trivia:

After several unsuccessful attempts by director Les Landau to film Q's nude scene without forcing the actor to actually be naked, a frustrated John de Lancie finally asked anyone offended by nudity to leave, stripped down, and filmed the scene in one take.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Hunted

Season three, episode 11. Jan. 8, 1990. One of my favorites. Jeff McCarthy, James Cromwell. I like Data's reaction to Roga Danar's unusual tactics. Another episode not beloved by the other watchers. Den of Geek has this marked as "skip." This one has something in common with the Kurt Russell movie Soldier. A man conditioned to kill but what do you do with him once the war is over?

Commander William T. Riker: Status report, Mr. Data.

Lt. Commander Data: I am afraid the prisoner has eluded us, sir.

Capt. Picard: [incredulous] Eluded the Enterprise?

Star Trek: The Next Generation - Contagion

Season two, episode 11. Thalmus Rasulala. Poorly reviewed by some of the revisitors but a decent IMDb rating and I liked it. One scene made me laugh out loud when Picard says "Welcome to the bridge, Mr. La Forge." From March 20, 1989.

Keith R.A. DeCandido of Tor.com rated the episode 4 out of 10. Den of Geek gave the episode a negative review and recommend skipping it.

Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Royale

Season two, episode twelve. I use the IMDb ratings when rewatching TNG to separate the fan favorites from the duds. This one is relatively low rated but a favorite of mine. Stuck in a bad novel.
