Directed by Pete Travis. DVD playing now. Surround sound in opening was freaking out the cat. That was a good sign for a twenty year old system. Still sounds pretty good loud.

One of my favorite science fiction novels and one of my favorite science fiction writers. Mr. Waldrop is from Mississippi and is an avid fisherman. Them Bones is an alternate history/time travel novel partly set in Louisiana in the late 20s, and also concerning the mound building cultures in the ancient past of Louisiana, which I have a real interest in. Two of the mound sites in Louisiana are the oldest dated mounds in North America. One is the popular tourist attraction, Poverty Point, but the other is much older, and is on private land, so it hasn't attracted much attention, Watson Brake.

I found a number of old carnival photos at the Library of Congress and I wasn't sure if I wanted to feature them here or on The Golden Horn. I am going to put the carny type pics here and the parade stuff will go on the other site. I like how black and white looks on Observation Deck.

Season three, episode 13. Aired Feb. 5, 1990. One of the highest IMDb ratings of season three. Top three of that season. John de Lancie, Corbin Bernsen. Q returns stripped of his powers. And his clothes.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deja_Q
IMDb Trivia:
After several unsuccessful attempts by director Les Landau to film Q's nude scene without forcing the actor to actually be naked, a frustrated John de Lancie finally asked anyone offended by nudity to leave, stripped down, and filmed the scene in one take.
Directed by Ridley Scott. Harrison Ford. I have the four disc collector's edition DVD. Watching the theatrical cut now on the big new TV to see how it looks. It looks great. I remember distinctly watching this at a friend's house as a kid in the middle of the night while he was asleep on the couch. All of those late night movies when I was young had a real effect on me. Yoo-hoo home again.
